We went north! (Part 1)

So, where do we start? This trip was unbelievable, in so many different levels. It all started when we sent an email to a music festival who later told us they heard our EP and wanted to invite us to play, both in Los Angeles and San Francisco. We obviously said ‘WE’LL BE THERE!’. We started looking for airplane tickets, Sergio found some really cheap ones to NY and told me that would be his present to me for my 30th birthday. So, all of a sudden we were planning a one month long trip across the US.

One thing you need to know is that at first we were only going to give three concerts (two in LA and one in SF), but Sergio turned out to be an amazing PR and we ended giving nine concerts in four different cities (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and New York) (Bogotá came later. (; ). So we were going to have to find the time to do everything and not die of exhaustion.

Ok, so how does one pack for a trip that involves cheap tickets (not much weight allowed), changing weather, and a lot, and I mean A LOT, of walking? Well, for starters, I didn’t get to think much about it. We were very busy the days before we left, and to top it all off we realized our plane left one day earlier than what we thought, so I packed in less than an hour. I grabbed some basics, a few favorite things and run!

That’s how our #USCELLPHONESERIES came to be. We didn’t want to think much about it, this trip wasn’t about the clothes we were going to wear, but the places we were going to see and explore. So niether one of us wanted to carry the camera every single day, because doing so for over eight hours daily can be a pain in the neck (literally).

(All of the photos were taken with an iPhone5s. If I don’t appear in the photo then I took it.) (There are a few photos with our Nikon, they will be marked.)

Street art hunting is the only hunting we do.

And that is that for this part. Next stop… Yosemite, Death Valley and much more. Coming soon! (:
